Hi,
having entered my FTP credentials; FTP Host/Login/Password and clicked on the FTP sitemap button to upload the Google sitemap I get a message "Error: A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket using sendto call) no address was supplied. In the FTP host data entry box I have tried putting the host location with and without the prefix ftp:// and I know the host/login and password are correct because I can log on to the site though IE7. I'm running Windows XP Prof. Any ideas?

FTP is a very tricky thing to code. There are so many protocols and no single solution. Behind the scenes, the code is trying multiple things to determine the FTP environment. The really hard part is trying to figure it out when you don't have a server with the problem. Is it possible for you to create an account for me to test with? If nso, I'm confident I can resolve your issue. If not, it will be very hard to resolve.

Good news! I was able to get a hold of an FTP server that was erroring with the software. I updated the FTP logic and it uploads now...both old servers that worked and the new server that errored. I am uploading a new version tonight.

Installed 4.1.1 and unfortunately got the same message when trying ftp upload.
Also noticed that when checking my sitemap.xml prior to manually placing it on the www folder, the only ‘priority’ values that were present were the few that I had manually changed from the default setting 0.5, all the default 0.5 values were missing. It’s not just the value but the entire line ‘<priority>0.5</priority>’

Too bad with the FTP. I will investigate further. But as I've said before, it's very hard to investigate when all of the FTP servers I have access to work.
As for the 0.5 missing, that's correct. 0.5 is the default and can be left out per Google. Why include it and increase the file size...I keep it out.

Good news - removed the prefix ftp:// from the host location (see first post) and it now works. Thanks for the 4.1.1 fix!
