Two items:

Have had the program a few days. This morning when I opened it I got the startup message saying that a new version was available and I should download it. I don't see a newer version than 4.0 to download. If it's a minor change and the 4.0 designation didn't change, how do I know what version I have? Suggestion is to provide a link directly to download location whith any message regarding new downloads.

Second, I'm finding that the FTP upload is very slow - perhaps 3-5 minutes where the program looks to be "hung" but eventually comes back to life and the file was FTP'd. It worked with a Google sitemap. When I tried it with a Yahoo sitemap it never got unhung, and never uploaded as best I can tell.

Hi jeffamm,

Regarding the new version...
A new version was released last night...v4.1 Beta:
http://www.iarchitect.net/Blog/2007/3/4/Sitemap-Generator-v41-Released/I tested it myself, but want to let it sit out there a few days to see what the response is.
So far, so good. I do need to update the Software page so people know it's available...right now, it's just a blog entry.

Regarding FTP...
That's strange. I have not had this problem. I will investigate and get back to you ASAP.

Thanks,
Brian

I have tested the FTP with 3 different servers and it's running fine.
If you have a large site with lots of URLs, it can take minutes to FTP.
Are you still having this issue?

Update: I implemented some new FTP logic.
If you're still FTPing very slowly, please download the latest version and let me know if the new FTP logic is any faster.
I don't see how, but you never know.
