Hi Brian, Here's another 'head-bender' for you! When a website is spidered by Sitemap Generator all of the carefully entered Change Frequency and Priority data gets overwritten (reset) with the settings in the Preferences. Is it possible to add selections to the Preferences selections for Change Frequency and Priority to enable Sitemap Generator to 'ignore' (not change) the values when these have already been defined previously and only enter the Preference values for Change Frequency and Priority of 'new' URL's which the spider finds? Failing this, is it possible to find another way of not overwriting the existing Change Frequency and Priority data?
regards, MacGuiver

Yes - I am working on this now and will need a little time to get it coded and tested.

Change frequency and priority should never be overwritten. There was a bug that these fields were overwritten when a sitemap was imported and run the first time. This was fixed: http://forums.iarchitect.net/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=52But new sitemaps or subsequent spiders should never overwrite that data. If you disagree, please make sure you have the latest version (see above link). If you still disagree, please provide me the exact scenario and I will investigate it immediately.

Hi Brian, I thought I had the latest version, but apparently not. I have now downloaded version 4.1.2 (which actually shows as v 4.1.1 when you start it up!) and now the change frequency and priority data doesn't get overwritten - wow what a GREAT product this is now! Thanks a lot for the help...you can lock this issue now.

Thanks....sorry you didn't know it was available sooner. It was a great suggestion.
Locking topic as feature has been implemented.
