Under the Google Sitemap tab, I'm trying to upload my sitemap but I get the "Error: Can't Connect to Remote Server" response. I've double-checked that the credentials under Preferences are correct, and they are identical to those that I use with CuteFTP and with ClickTracks to connect to the same server. I'm not sure of the format expected for the server address - should the ftp://www. precede the domain? When I enter that part I get this message:

Error: A request to send or receieve data was disallowed because the socket is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket using a sendto call) no address was supplied

I just tried appending the server address with my port number, as in www.domain.com:21 and now I get the error message : Error: StartIndex cannot be larger than the length of string Parameter name: startindex.

You shouldn’t need to put ftp in the front.
It sounds like maybe a firewall or anti-virus software application might be stopping it.
Can you temporarily disable the Windows Firewall and any anti-virus software (McAfee, Norton, etc.).
If it then works, then you’ll need to figure out who’s stopping it and add a rule to allow the application through.
Let me know what you find.

Thanks,
Brian

I believe this issue was resolved with jeffamm.
But we are also releasing v5.0 on 1/23/08 and it will support all popular FTP protocols.

Thanks,
