Hello,

I have installed v 4.1.1 and the installation was ok. But when I started generating the sitemap, I received the following error " hexadecimal vale 0x03, is an invalid character, line 1, position 1434815" . The sitemap did not generate completely or successfully. What do I have to do to correct this.

Please help.

Joe,

Shortly after v4.1 or 4.1.1 came out, for a day or two it didn't encode the titles in the XML.
It was found and fixed right away. I bet you have that version.
Can you please download v4.1.2:
http://www.iarchitect.net/Uploads/106/SGv4.1.2.zip

It's not a complete installation package (beta release...it's been thoroughly tested).
Just unzip the files to the software installation directory (and overwrite the existing versions).
Default installation directory: C:\Program Files\iArchitect\iArchitect Sitemap Generator\

After trying it out, please let me know how it works.
If you still have problem, please PM me your URL and I'll investigate it right away.

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,

I have downloaded the patch and unzipped it in the installation directory, following the path you specified and I still received the same error. When that error comes up and I clicked ok. I later clicked any of the sitemap tap and get " cannot find table 0 " .

Thank you,

Joe

Sounds like the last version generated bad data.
Please respider the website and try it again.

Hi Brian,

I did that and I still received the same error " hexadecimal value 0x03, is an invalid character, Line 1, position 1432103.

The spider web process stops before completing.

Thank you,

Joe

Please send me a PM with your domain name so I can try it myself and see what's going on.

I started spidering your website tonight and had to stop it at 6,000+ found (about 1/2 crawled).
I will restart it on another computer in the morning and let it run on its own.
I'll be in touch soon.

Joe,

On one of your web pages (only 1 page), there’s a weird ASCII character in the meta description.

Webpage: http://www.yourwebsite.com/manu/1000086/SQB651031/product.aspx
Description: Combines benefits of a hydrocolloid adhesive border with a super-absorbent pad to manage moderate to heavily<weird ACSII character> exudating wounds. Use alone or with other primary dressing for wound exudate management.

Once you fix that, it’ll work.
Locking issue as it has been explained.

Thanks,
Brian
